I'm back!!! Yay!  Oh my goodness!  It's been a few months since I've been on here. :(  So many life events...husband back from a year-long deployment, son moved away to college, and I switched grades and classrooms!  Hoping that since the school year has gotten underway, routine will be back in the life of this ocd lady. :) 

End of Year countdown sign ~ freebie!

My little class is getting super excited as summer quickly approaches!  I am, too!! :)  I created this little sign to use in my classroom, and the boys and girls LOVE seeing the number decrease each morning!  The 15-page set includes color and black and white graphics (7 color choices)  in order for you to choose one that will match your classroom.  I hope you enjoy it, and Happy Teaching!

Happy "almost" spring!  What a wild and crazy few months it's been!  I'm uploading a few resources that I've been using, or will be using in the next few weeks, and I hope you find them useful. :)

Below is a quick peek of a 90-page set I created.  It became my best seller on TpT!  I was so humbled and super surprised! I'm almost as excited as the boys and girls each year when it's time to use my classroom "Elf on the Shelf".  My class LOVES it.  "Jingles", our elf, is sometimes "naughty" but makes up for it by leaving a note, along with a treat.  I truly enjoy seeing their excited little faces each day!  Tons of memories made each year.

Exit Tickets!

My 3rd graders love exit tickets, and they LOVE anything seasonal, so I made these for them. Happy Teaching!

I'll be teaching reading again this year - yay!  I made this "mini" set for a small area above my wall.  I hope someone else can use it, too! :)

BTS labels and tags

Here are a few things I'll be using in my classroom this year...if it works for you, feel free to print and use them, too! :)

"Quiet Spray" label to attach to spray bottle.

I'm going to try this...before students turn in tests, etc., I'll have this tag on a small bucket and have the boys and girls highlight their names/numbers on their papers. 

Tags for sharpened/to be sharpened pencil cups/containers.

I'm using the giant pixie sticks with "balloons" on top for birthdays this year.  So the label will be on the bday jar.

 

I do coke drawings on Fridays...students may earn tickets for demonstrating on task, positive behavior, etc.

 

I'll also be doing an "Exit Slip" drawing this year for treats...



 

Voice Level Chart 2

I LOVE pinterest!  I saw voice level charts and wanted to make one that fit my classroom.  After I made the original chart, I put it up in my classroom, and noticed that it sort of "got lost" because it was too small.  So, I made a larger one that works perfectly in the room.  I simply cut them out, and positioned them together before laminating them and backing them with scrapbook paper.  :)

Back to school "Boarding Passes"

Well, I'm already getting excited about the new school year!  My husband flies airplanes, so my classroom theme is airplanes/travel.  Instead of sending basic postcards to students prior to school starting, I send "boarding passes" to my new little 3rd graders.  They really enjoy getting mail, and the "pass" gives them information about our "Meet the Teacher/Open House" Night.  Below is the one I used last year, and as soon as I receive my class list, I'll be making them for my new boys and girls.  I ordered the original template from Etsy (party invitation), and over the years, I've changed them a bit.  The cover was in a word doc, so I hope I converted it correctly. :)

Voice Level Chart

I'm wanting to try something different this year, so I'm going to use a voice level chart. (I'm using a separate heading that will go on the wall above the chart.)

"Me Bag"

During our first week of school, I use this as a "getting to know you" activity. I attach the letter and little poem (2 sizes to choose from) to a brown lunch bag, and the boys and girls fill the bag with 5 items that describe him/her.  I share one, too. :)
